One weekly data pull, zero gatekeeping — that's the whole idea behind this site.
Nebraska's child care licensing records are public, but the state portal was never designed for a parent in a hurry. We took those records and turned them into a fast, searchable lookup — one page per provider, organized by city and county so you can compare options close to home without filing a data request.
Every week an automated job downloads the current NDHHS Child Care Licensing file — the same dataset state regulators rely on. We parse it, reconcile any changes (new licenses, closures, address corrections), and rebuild the site. Nothing is manually entered, so what you see here tracks the official record as closely as a seven-day window allows.
NDHHS issues licenses under three categories, and we list all three:
This is an independent project with no ties to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services or any state office. Licensing records can change between our weekly updates — a provider might close, move, or gain a new license type before we catch it. Treat this site as a starting point: confirm details with NDHHS directly before making enrollment decisions.
